I am applying PhD either in Software Engineering or E-learning
(continuation of my master's project)
I have just submitted my PhD application to the university. Yeahhh!!!! At the same time i am applying for a PhD scholarship with the university as well. I am very certain to get the PhD position but the main thing is to get the Scholarship. So many applications have submitted their applications and i hope i will be one of the successful candidates. Only 13 scholarships available and i hope i will get either in Software Engineering Department or in E-Learning department and of course both in Computer Science department. I actually didn't want to do a PhD but my Supervisor Dr.Trevor who is the principal lecturer in the department recommended and encourage me to apply the scholarship. He wrote a very good 'referee statement' which should help my application. Anyway, we will see the result in early July and hopefully i will get the scholarship. P/S: The scholarship worth about 60,000 pounds = RM300,000!!!! (monthly allowance is about 1200 pounds = RM6000 a month)!!! Yummm..yummmm....should enough for me! If i do teaching well it's worth 25 pounds per hour (RM125 per hour). All i can say is PhD scholarship receivers in the UK usually are loaded. Geeeee!!!!
